Chi Wai Lai is a Hong Kong-based professional rock climber and motivational speaker whose extraordinary story of courage and resilience has inspired millions. Once ranked among Hong Kong’s top climbers, Chi Wai became paraplegic after a car accident in 2011 — but refused to give up his passion. In 2016, he became the first paraplegic climber to scale Lion Rock, a symbol of Hong Kong’s spirit, and later climbed Yosemite’s El Capitan using only his upper body. Recognized by Guinness World Records, his achievements embody determination, adaptability, and hope.
